Enlisting the talents of a diverse group of contemporary playwrights, screenwriters, and dramaturges from diverse backgrounds, this project reenvisions Shakespeare for the twenty-first century. David Ivers is artistic director of South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, California. His career as an actor has been marked by more than forty productions with Utah Shakespeare and ten seasons as a member of the resident acting company at the Denver Center. His work as a director has been seen at many of the country's top regional theaters, including Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, the Guthrie Theater, and numerous others.
