Accessible & Safe Chair Yoga Principles & Practice For Yoga Teachers, Trainers & Yogis
Chair yoga begins with awareness and kindness-with how we move, breathe, and connect with ourselves and others. It's about who we teach.

For yoga teachers and trainers seeking clarity and for yogis seeking confidence, this book is both a guide and a companion. It's a path featuring safe, adaptable chair-based practices that honour each person as they are, along with a journey of presence, connection, and compassion in every breath.

Chair yoga is more than poses done on a chair-it's a thoughtful, adaptable path grounded in care and mindfulness.

Whether teaching classes, leading workshops or teacher training, or exploring as a curious chair yogi-this book offers a chair yoga journey that is:

- Accessible- meets people where they are.

- Safe- prioritizes health and mobility.

- Compassionate- honours each individual's story.

- Thoughtful- guides with intention and impact.

- Responsive- adapts poses to serve real needs.

- Accepting- releases expectations.

After retiring, she discovered a renewed passion for yoga and was quickly drawn to the heart, accessibility, and compassion of chair yoga.Stacey's focus during her classes and now within this book is to share welcoming, empowering practices that honour shifting abilities and celebrate each participant's presence. Her classes always include a dash of humour and real-life perspective. She lives in Surrey, British Columbia with her husband of nearly 30 years. When she's not teaching yoga or volunteering at her local seniors' centre, she can be found puttering in the garden, biking around her neighbourhood, reading a good book, or enjoying a glass of wine with friends.
