Praise for Every Sweet Thing Is Bitter: “Everything Sweet Thing Is Bitter is a gritty mystery that’s as much about finding oneself as it is about finding a missing matriarch. It’s a tale of redemption that’s as layered as the twists and turns and characters that populate the novel.” —L.S. Stratton, author of Not So Perfect Strangers “An evocative coming-of-age mystery that will stay with you long after the final page.” —Katherine Greene, author of The Woods Are Waiting and The Lake of Lost Girls “Samantha Crewson's debut is a decadently written, emotionally hard hitting, slow burn suspense that explores the intricacies of trauma, family, and being haunted by your past.” —Emma Dues, author of Return to Midnight “A tense and haunting examination of sisterhood, memory, and revenge. Samantha Crewson is a compelling new voice in queer suspense.” —Justine Champine, author of Knife River
