Kate Martin has loved stories since the beginning. Some of her first memories are of her parents reading to her at night, movies taped off TV, and dolls with torrid backstories. It's a family trait to make things up--and luckily she eventually learned to focus that impulse into weaving her own books. Notebooks filled with fanfiction all through middle school and high school? Check. Nowadays she can be found in the New England countryside, where she teaches dance, writes her books, discusses story process with her husband, and caters to the whims of her two small children, and one hungry cat.
