Denise Brown is a writer, housekeeper, proofreader, and single parent of five children. Her latest novel with Hashtag Press, It All Started With A Lie, became an instant hit following a successful debut at YALC 2023. Denise has had short stories published in various online magazines and anthologies and was also longlisted for the 2019 Mslexia Children's Novel Competition. In 2019 she was longlisted for the Bath Novel Award. Born in East London, Denise has now settled in Scotland where she feels certain she must have lived in a previous life. She loves dogs.
