Meet the Pony Tails . . . They're May, Jasmine and Corey, three totally different girls with one thing in common - they love ponies!

It's Christmastime at Pine Hollow Stables, and the Pony Tails are excited about two Pony Club holiday events- the annual Starlight Ride on Christmas Eve and a special horse show to raise money for the local animal shelter. Both Corey and Jasmine have been practising hard, in hopes of being chosen to perform in a special presentation at the show.

But when only Corey is selected to ride in the show, the girls' cheerful holiday spirits sink fast. Now Corey feels embarrassed, Jasmine feels left out, and May feels stuck in the middle. Will the three friends manage to patch things up before Christmas Eve - the night of the Starlight Ride?

See the back of the book for Jasmine's tips on playing mounted games!

Bonnie Bryant is the author of nearly a hundred books about horses, including The Saddle Club, Pine Hollow and Pony Tails series. She has also written novels and movie novelisations under her married name, B.B. Hiller. Ms Bryant began writing The Saddle Club in 1986. Although she had done some riding before that, she intensified her studies then and found herself learning right along with her characters Stevie, Carole, and Lisa. She claims that they are all much better riders than she is. Ms Bryant was born and raised in New York City. She still lives there, in Greenwich Village, with her two sons.
