ABOUT THE AUTHORS Sally Morgan is recognised as one of Australia's best known Aboriginal artists and writers. Her first book, MY PLACE, has sold over half a million copies in Australia. Sally's children's picture story books include LITTLE PIGGIES and HURRY UP OSCAR. Recently she completed a series of three children's books illustrated by Bronwyn Bancroft: JUST A LITTLE BROWN DOG, DAN'S GRAMPA and IN YOUR DREAMS. Sally is a Professor at the Centre for Aboriginal Studies at the University of Western Australia. CURLY AND THE FENT was written by Sally and her children Ambelin, Blaze and Ezekiel. Ambelin Kwaymullina is a Lecturer in the Law School at the University of Western Australia. When she is not teaching and writing she enjoys making jewellery, reading and taking her two dogs Tinsel and Sparky for long, interesting walks. Blaze Kwaymullina is a Lecturer in the School of Indigenous Studies at the University of Western Australia. Blaze is interested in reading, rock climbing, yoga and taking his two dogs Chris and Billy swimming at the local dog beach. Ezekiel Kwaymullina writes full time. Zeke loves beach walking, soccer, basketball, computer games, reading and hanging out with his friends. ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR Adam Hill is an Indigenous painter, graphic designer, illustrator and cartoonist. Adam is a multi-award winner in the medium of acrylic on canvas, and his public artworks and murals have adorned the walls of schools, council structures and shopping malls. Most recently Adam has illustrated YIRRA AND HER DEADLY DOG, DEMON by Anita Heiss. Adam is also an accomplished performer of Yidaki (Didgeridoo), and has performed for Nelson Mandela and at the Deadly Awards, the Rugby World Cup opening ceremony and the final of Australian Idol.
