Susi Gott Seguret was born and raised in the woods of the Appalachian Mountains, in Western North Carolina. During her 20-year trek around Europe spent honing her culinary expertise, Susi remained connected to nature, hunting mushrooms in the forat d'Orleans and bouldering in the forat de Fontainebleau. Today, Susi leads foraging expeditions in the Blue Ridge and teaches others how to blend the elegance of French cuisine with the simplicity of mountain ingredients. She is the author of Appalachian Appetite, Child of the Woods, and Cooking with Truffles.
