Edward Mooney, Jr., was born in Massachusetts and raised in Tustin, California. After receiving degrees from Montana State University and the University of California at Riverside he worked as a computer analyst until becoming a high school teacher in 1988. Edward currently lives in Southern California with his wife Carrie and their five children.
I greatly enjoyed Joseph and Anne's story, as they continue laughing and loving, knowing that the end of their wonderful lifetime together is soon at hand. Mr. Mooney has succeeded in creating a story that is gentle, thought-provoking and complex. The Pearls of the Stone Man is an inspirational novel with plot elements that touch both older and younger generations. Main characters Joseph and Anne Marino are rare. They're still in love after 53 years of marriage and with little time left, Joseph's priority becomes finishing the stone wall that Anne requested years ago - a special reminder from her childhood. This novel moved me to tears (and I don't cry often). It is a moving tale of love, redemption, commitment and bonding. You have to read this one!
