Alison Sherlock enjoyed reading and writing stories from an early age. However, she assumed that being an author didn't count as a proper job so when Alison grew up, she worked as a secretary, training administrator and answered an IT hotline. Once older and a bit wiser, she realised that she really had to write her novel. So she gave up office life to sit at home and panic at what she had done. To fund her dream, Alison became a cleaner, the experience of which she has used for her second novel. A chance meeting with a literary agent at Winchester Writers' Conference set her on the road to publication. Alison lives in Surrey with her husband Dave and Harry, their daft golden retriever. Reviews for The Desperate Wife’s Survival Plan

This is a brilliant novel about discovering your passions and believing in yourself. A powerful tale of friendship, ice-cream and more ice-cream. Alison Sherlock has made me want to read her previous book, The Desperate Bride's Diet Club and her future novels because no matter what happens, I know she'd have a soft spot for her characters and you can always count on Alison to brighten your day! I loved it. It made me laugh, swoon and fall in love with the hero! I Heart Chick-Lit I loved the optimistic feel of this novel... I definitely recommend this to all chick lit lovers out there, and I personally can't wait to pick up a copy of Alison Sherlock's other novel, 'The Desperate Bride's Diet Club'! 8.5/10 A Spoonful of Happy Endings
