Bold and compelling books by Australian women and non-binary writers were in the running for the 11th annual Stella Prize.
Stella’s judges — award-winning author Alice Pung OAM (Chair), Astrid Edwards, Beejay Silcox, Jeff Sparrow and Alison Whittaker will announce the winner on Thursday 27 April.
The 2023 Stella Prize shortlist spans fiction, nonfiction, social history, a book-length essay, a graphic novel, and poetry. The six titles selected are evidence of the extraordinary calibre of work being published by Australian women and non-binary writers.
