This is an emic work on Yorùbá metaphysics. It takes one who knows and lives it to write about this difficult subject. This outstanding book expands the framework of metaphysics to include what is taken for granted. It communicates ""mysteries"" very clearly and inspires critical engagement with African realities. A must-read for researchers in African studies. Practitioners, scholars, and students will gain new insights into African knowledge systems. - Akinmaayowa Akin-Otiko, author of Àdìmúlà [religion in Yorubaland]: A New Perspective
