Over a career spanning more than four decades, Carlene Hill Byron has helped people on five continents tell their stories so they reach just the right audiences. She has supported engineering and technology companies, fashion marketers, faith-based organizations, and health-focused enterprises, among many others. She has helped business executives write their inspirational memoirs, emerging novelists hone their manuscripts, and faith leaders write uplifting guides to Christian living. As a Spirit Media Angel Writer and editor, she supports people from all walks of life in achieving their publishing dreams.Byron has worked as a daily newspaper journalist, in marketing communications for a national engineering firm and a technology startup, as an SEO writer for a large online marketplace, and as development officer for disability and social services nonprofits. She is the former editor of New England Church Life and The New England Christian. In those roles, she was privileged to connect with Christians from more than 60 different denominations or associations across the six New England states. Her writing has appeared in Christianity Today, Charisma, Outreach Magazine, Evangelizing Today's Child and The War Cry (Salvation Army), as well as online at The Perennial Generation, Yahoo News, Mad in America, and The Canadian Mennonite.Her first book, Not Quite Fine: Mental Health, Faith, and Showing Up for One Another, was published in 2021. Her next books dive deep into the Old and New Testaments to uncover God's direct guidance for care of our environment and daily living. She is active in care ministries at her local church, enjoys learning to square dance, and is an avid amateur baker who has made 21 wedding cakes and annually produces more than 30 dozen Christmas cookies.
