Loved this book, great primer into Lectio Divina. Walks you through the WRAP method and gives you several detailed examples to follow. Very helpful in understanding prayer with Lectio Divina. Highly recommend. (GS) This is a very good book. It really helped me put prayer in perspective. Delivery was quick and I had it for my first class of W.R.A.P. (Peg) It came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It is a book to be read and reread and to be kept by your Bible and Journal. (P. Koch) Short and sweet. Rediscover God's Word! (YR)A beautiful read for anyone, not just priests or seminarians but anyone who wants to pray with the Scriptures. Enjoy! (YR) This is a Good book on how to meditate on Scripture. Its wrote so easy to read and follow the steps. Brought it for a friend, after I was given one as a gift..She loves it (Jeanne B) If you are looking to deepen your prayer life or your connection to God. This book will definitely help. Easy to understand and follow. (C. Pinkle) The Church has rediscovered the ancient way of praying the Bible called Lectio Divina (""divine or sacred reading""). Christian meditation seeks to occupy the mind (rather than empty the mind) with God's Word in the Bible. WRAP Yourself in Scripture is a guide to the ""one thing needful"" - reading, praying, and reflecting on Scripture with the added dimension of journaling. This small treasure of 55 pages is a great tool for people who have trouble sitting still. WRAP is an acronym for Write (a scripture verse or word after a careful reading), Reflect (on what the text says in itself and what it says to me), Apply (how I can apply it to my life), and Pray (responding to God with praise, thanksgiving, and petition). The journaling aspect is especially helpful in the areas of accountability and focus. The book is complete with examples and scripture verses to pray. It is designed to get you started right away in a dialogue (rather than a monologue) with God. (VP) My husband and I are Protestant, but my husband was raised Catholic. We went to a Catholic bookstore to buy my mother inlaw a Mother's Day present, when I saw this little book. Right when I opened it and read a portion I knew i loved it! I told my husband I wanted to buy it for myself. I read it and began using the method of Bible study, and it is SO powerful! God began revealing things in Scripture to me, like I haven't experience in years! I told my husband that he HAD to try it. He began using it and experienced the same thing! It's not just a ""Bible Study"", but a way of studying the Bible and hearing God speak to you through the Scripture you're reading. We are so excited about it, that I came on Amazon to buy more for our friends and family! (CHP)
