wings with the weight of the world is a deeply personal memoir that takes you on a heart-wrenching yet inspiring 20-year journey of a family tested by seemingly insurmountable odds. The story unfolds the trials we faced--from infertility and adoption to dealing with my son's autism spectrum disorder, to grappling with my wife's breast cancer, then a heartbreaking sudden loss of a child, and soon after navigating my wife's total paralysis due to Guillain-Barré Syndrome while confronting stave IV cancer. Navigating the healthcare system through multiple catastrophic events was sometimes as hard as the illnesses themselves.

Each chapter is a testament to my wife and I, both health professionals, battle through missteps and uncoordinated healthcare in pursuit of quality care. The memoir doesn't shy away from the emotional turmoil--shock, despair, and grief--that accompanies such monumental events. Yet, amid the darkness, the unyielding bond between us and our surviving son becomes a beacon of hope.

What you do when adversity strikes is not only up to you but it involves your support system and your faith. This is not just our story but a universal narrative of enduring strength.
