N.A. Nekrasov is one of the most interesting and controversial figures in the history of Russian poetry. 'A poet passionate for suffering! ..' - this is how Dostoevsky spoke of him. For many, the Nekrasov became a prophet, comforter, leader. He was the main poet of the generation of sixties nihilists, heirs of Bazarov. He offered a new look at the tasks of the poet, new poetic themes. Nekrasov really came to Russian poetry with a new word, which not all contemporaries and descendants could accept and recognize.
