Kim Treiger-Bar-Am studied philosophy and law at Yale, and wrote a master's and doctorate in law at Oxford. She lives in Israel, where she has taught law for many years. Treiger-Bar-Am has written articles on copyright and rights of expression, as well as on women's rights, philosophy, and Jewish thought. Her previous book Positive Freedom and the Law examines Kantian theory and Jewish thought; her book Freedom and Respect in Jewish Ethics explores intuitions and Jewish law; and her book The Ethics of Truth relies upon Jewish, philosophical, and legal works. Treiger-Bar-Am is currently working to strengthen democracy in Israel.
