AUTHOR: Mykhailo Zhirokhov was born in the Donetsk region of Ukraine in 1974. He is a professional historian specialising in conflicts in the post-Soviet countries and the history of aviation. He has written a large number of books in Russian, Ukrainian, English and French, and has attended numerous conferences relating to the Russian-Ukranian war that began in 2014. He is currently the head of the Chernihiv Military Historical Museum.
