Phil Brattain co-authored Awaken Perfection: The Journey of Conscious Revelation with Audrone Wippich, winning endorsements from Dr. Arun Gandhi, grandson of the Mahatma, and Tenzin N. Tethong, president of the Dalai Lama Foundation. He then joined Audrone to write 200 articles for Conscious Owl, a web magazine focused on global and contemporary spirituality. Having researched the great spiritual and mystical traditions over twenty years, Phil has been active in the interfaith movement. He developed a firm conviction that the very heart of religion is Divine, or Universal, Love. If people get this right, everything else worthwhile will follow.Having lived most of his life in Northern California, Phil has been deeply influenced by a culture of continuous innovation preoccupied with reinventing the future. He has developed extensive friendships with international engineers and entrepreneurs, gaining a global perspective on social, political, and environmental issues. In the process, Phil developed a lasting relationship with the South Asia diaspora. He started out as a technical recruiter and executive search consultant, leading to global business development for ventures seeking to enter the North American market through San Francisco's Silicon Valley. In building out client portfolios, Phil has befriended executives across the United States. Recently, he has led several initiatives into Hollywood, promoting cutting-edge big data, blockchain, and A.I.Phil Brattain earned a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, in Cultural and Intellectual History with strong minors in French and English. He subsequently discovered the human potential and transformational movements, participating in encounter groups, seminars, symposia, and conferences. Phil has been active with Landmark Education, MindValley, and Science and Nonduality. He practices Christian Science among other disciplines. Phil is also active in such entrepreneurial groups as TiE, Angel Launch, and BootUP World, where he mentors startups, helping them go to market and establish key reference accounts for further capitalization. When he can, Phil likes to escape to the nearby resort of Carmel by the Sea, where he roams the art galleries and relishes the fine European cuisine in a forest overlooking the Pacific Ocean. He also frequently joins close friends in Hawaii to keep the spirit of Aloha alive.
