Vocational rehabilitation supports students with developmental disabilities as they transition from school to employment and independent lifestyles. This process involves a range of services, including career counseling, skills training, job placement, and workplace accommodation, tailored to meet the needs of everyone. By fostering early intervention and collaboration among educators, families, and vocational specialists, these programs help students build confidence, develop job-readiness, and access inclusive work environments. Vocational rehabilitation empowers students with developmental disabilities to pursue fulfilling careers, participate in their communities, and achieve long-term personal and economic stability. Vocational Rehabilitation for Students with Developmental Disabilities: Transition from Education to Employment explores the challenges and opportunities involved in successfully employing students with developmental disabilities. It offers practical insights and evidence-based strategies to strengthen transition support programs and vocational rehabilitation services. This book covers topics such as higher education, professional development, and student employment, and is a useful resource for educators, sociologists, psychologists, business owners, academicians, researchers, and scientists.
