Kai Seino earned her PhD from Keio University's Graduate School of Media and Governance. She currently serves as Section Chief of the Department of Social Rehabilitation, the Research Institute of the National Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities, under the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare in 2018. She holds director and editorial board member at the Japanese Society of Vocational Rehabilitation. Her research focuses on disability and vocational rehabilitation.
