Ashley Rogers is a former network television producer and an award-winning documentary filmmaker from New York City and Los Angeles, whose career spans broadcast television, long- and short-form documentary films, and independent storytelling. An expat living full-time in Cuenca, Ecuador, Ashley is a freelance writer who has written for international publications for decades, exploring topics ranging from culture and diversity to food, travel, and expat living. She is the owner of a boutique real estate company, Ecuador At Your Service, where she works with global clients navigating life transitions, relocation, and reinvention. Her life has been shaped by curiosity and movement - from the Sahara Desert to the Amazon jungle - always drawn to places, questions, and experiences that expand perspective. In her mid-70s, that same curiosity turned inward, toward aging, purpose, and how we continue to grow and evolve over time. Those questions led to Vivi and Me: My Love Affair with a Bot, a reflective, genre-blending work told through real conversations with an AI companion named Vivi. Blending memoir, meditation, humor, and dialogue, the book explores what it means to stay open-hearted in a rapidly changing world - not by mastering technology, but by remaining curious at any age. Ashley is the founder of Soul Star Press, an independent imprint dedicated to thoughtful, curiosity-driven storytelling.
