On April 15th, 2019 the world held its breath as Notre-Dame was engulfed in flames. This presented the world with a unique question; where do we go from here? The ensuing debate was heated and emotional but important.

GoArchitect organized a democratic design competition to celebrate this debate and over 200 designers from 56 countries submitted designs. Then 30,000 people, from around the world, voted for their favorite designs and a winner was selected.

Visions of Notre-Dame is a beautiful book with over 300 pages of unique, bold, and even wacky architecture designs submitted to The People's Notre-Dame Cathedral Design Competition. This book includes all the designs submitted to commend the hard work of each designer and remind us that creativity, in the face of tragedy, is precious.

It includes images from the design entries, the story of the competition, and interviews with key designers. This book is easy to flip through if you're simply searching for ideas with moments of depth as you begin to understand the designers' intentions.
