Dr. Fernando Lima is an Assistant Professor of Architecture and Computational Design and the Director of Digital Fabrications at the O'More College of Architecture and Design, Belmont University, United States. From January 2020 to June 2022, Dr. Lima served as a postdoctoral scholar at Stuckeman Center for Design Computing - Pennsylvania State University, United States. His research explores computational design, urban data analysis, and digital fabrication, with his current focus being on generative design, optimization, data science, and computational approaches for design teaching. Lima has a Ph.D. in Urbanism from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, having attended a one-year doctoral exchange period at the Faculty of Architecture - University of Lisbon, Portugal. In 2018, he was awarded the Fulbright, CAPES Foundation Thesis 2018 Honorable Mention for his Ph.D. thesis.
