The story is followed with comprehensive support guides co-authored with specialists, to provide informative and practical advice to walk parents into a new life with their child's medical diagnosis, whatever that may be. Support topics include:

Coping mechanisms Managing guilt Journaling Advice for hospital admissions Breastfeeding and expressing at times of distress Creating clean environments Cystic fibrosis facts and answers

""These are the tools and techniques I used to cope during such challenging times of a sudden hospital admission and medical diagnosis. My purpose with this book is to offer hope, comfort, strength and inspiration to all parents of a child with anything perfectly imperfect. Those special little Elmer elephants with a unique start in this world and journey through life."""

Laura's love of the written word began while studying English Literature at Royal Holloway, University of London. She went on to become a successful copywriter and content editor for a number of consumer brands, magazines and websites. Today she uses her writing skills to fulfil her purpose of supporting other parents and helping raise awareness of cystic fibrosis through her book and several national newspaper articles. A keen runner, vegetarian, DIY lover and constant Earl Grey tea drinker, Laura is often found on the sidelines of a football or rugby pitch cheering on one of her three boys or husband. Settled in her small, rural Hertfordshire village in England, Laura loves nothing more than gardening in the summer and cosying up by the fire with her tribe of boys in the winter.

Reviews for Unconditional Love: An empowering guide to accepting your child's diagnosis, managing long hospital stays and building your new self.

"Griffith: ""This should be given out as a ""must read"" for all parents of all children who are diagnosed with a life changing condition. The vulnerability of the author in sharing her circumstances will empower so many parents to know they are seen. The information and practical tips the book shares are so incredibly helpful and a must read for anyone to know how to support a family managing CF as a condition. This book will change so many lives. I feel truly blessed to have read it. Thank you!"" Bullen: ""I read this book in under 24hrs with my heart in my mouth and a box of tissues by my side. An incredibly moving account of a mother's heartbreak when her little boy is diagnosed with CF. I felt like I was sat by Laura's side reliving their journey, the highs and devastating lows. My heart ached for her and yet the strongest message in the book is of love, strength and positivity - the love this family have for one another spills out onto the page. A brilliant resource for any parent or carer who find themselves in hospital with a poorly child searching for emotional comfort and practical advice."" Jess: ""The chapters on breastfeeding and expressing helped me so much when Raffi first went into the Special Baby Care Unit. It was the help I needed when I felt so helpless. Raffi will be forever grateful for the litres of milk we left the hospital with."" SunshineGirl: ""This is a beautiful account of Bailey's story told by his mum, Laura. I couldn't put this down, cried my eyes out reading the disbelief and heartbreak the family found a way to fight through. Reading how Laura falls to bits but slowly (with time, support and acceptance) puts herself back together is inspiring. It is raw, real and full of emotion. It is also hopeful and has an amazing practical guide to help support other families. Although about the most difficult of times there are many things that made me smile or laugh in this book. I loved the way Laura describes how she and her husband coped so differently. This is a heart shattering story to tell, but Laura tells it perfectly. I would recommend this book to everyone."""
