Such a powerful and uplifting guide for an athlete. With a more mental side of the sport, you can achieve and push yourself to new heights. With the 3 minute drill and reflections, you can guarantee that your athlete will have more drive and focus. Ending each with a closing prayer is the perfect way to surrender your anxiety and let god guide your way. Many athletes in this book have gone through so much chaos, and triumphs to become who they are today, all thanks to the bible and following Gods plans for them. They have limited goals that you make yourself reach, no matter what the outcome is. Always keep going and stay strong through all that pops up while achieving what you are doing. Author is great at telling about everyone's story. I really like that this book is faith-based. Every chapter, the author picks a meaningful and important Bible verse to go along with the lesson they're trying to teach. It is an absolute must-read for anyone raising or coaching young competitors. It's also nice because the lessons are short and quick; they don't take much time at all, and they're easy to understand and remember to do throughout your day when you need it. This seven proven 3 minutes mental toughness is an excellent book while most person focus on the physical aspect of things this book deep dives into a more mental stability aspect. Something that encourages and pushes persons to achieve their best self as an athlete. Within this book, by using biblical references, famous people and aspects of their athletic journey with sports and a strong guided exploration, as well as a step-by-step roadmap on how to strengthen your mind, prepare yourself for the game, and just improve your performance; whatever individual reads this book will become better for it. Understandably, not everyone is into biblical references or certain famous sports players, but you can easily move past that because the message this book relays and the tools it offers are invaluable. As a coach and parent of a teenage athlete this one is really good. The biggest thing I deal with in coaching is not athleticism, but confidence. It takes time to get that built up in kids. This book does a great job of providing relatable stories for kids that are connected to scripture. Taking the ""drills"" and breaking them down into small, manageable steps is super helpful to get kids to understand what they need to take away from the lesson. I really like the way it gives parents a way to help as well and a closing prayer at the end.
