Surf Soup Series

Donna Kay Lau, award-winning Emmy-honored TV animator, author, and illustrator, welcomes you back to the whimsical world of Surf Soup with her latest heartwarming adventure.

Join Koa and his newfound friend, Ukiee the Ukulele, as they explore the magic of Surf Soup Island and uncover the history of the Koa tree. When Koa stumbles upon Ukiee-a ukulele with no strings attached-he embarks on a journey of friendship, discovery, and perseverance, learning that some of life's most meaningful connections don't require physical attachments.

As Koa and his friends explore the island's lush forests, they learn to appreciate trees, music, and the bonds that shape their lives. Through laughter, loss, and love, they discover that music and nature are deeply connected.

A Story of Love, Perseverance, and the Magic of Nature

The Power of Music - Can Ukiee share his beautiful sound without strings? A Special Koa Tree - A family heirloom tree carries stories from generations past. Lessons in Gratitude - A reminder to cherish the people, nature, and music around us. Never Give Up - Koa shows that perseverance-and sometimes surrender-can lead to unexpected magic.

Whether you're a music lover, nature enthusiast, or simply looking for an uplifting story, Ukiee, the Ukulele, and the Magical Koa Tree... No Strings Attached will inspire you to pause, listen, and appreciate the beauty around you.

Because in the end We are all in the Surf Soup together
