There's a dedicated chapter on accessibility that tackles real challenges head-on and offers resources to make travel more inclusive and enjoyable. You'll also explore a variety of travel styles-whether you're drawn to luxurious spa escapes, guided cultural tours, eco-adventures, or something uniquely your own. The thoughtfully curated appendices offer bonus tips and trusted resources to help you feel informed and confident before you even zip your suitcase shut.

And here's a secret worth sharing: your best travel companion might just be the person you see in the mirror.

Mary Strobbe, Ph>D., began life riding horses barefoot and bareback. Earning a degree in nursing, she began adventures as an Army Nurse during the Vietnam era. Returning to college, she graduated with a PhD in Psychology, enabling her to teach at a Community College. During her early years of travel, she drove solo throughout the U.S.A. Following widowhood, she continues her solo adventures and has been to over 60 countries. At 80, she continues to explore the world. She lives in San Diego with judgmental feline companions.
