Dr. Jimmy Maming has published more than 25 papers in the International Journals. He has 7 years of experience in the hotel industry as a Waiter, Cashier, Front Office Associate, Accounting Personnel, and Human Resource Officer at Boracay Terraces Resort Hotel under the joint venture of Fairways and Bluewater. He serves as the Acting College President and Dean of Malay College. In addition to his administrative role, Dr. Maming is an accomplished researcher, contributing significantly to the field of academia. He was the former Editor-In-Chief of iRAPA International Journal of Business Studies based in Pakistan; Editorial Board and Editor of International Journal of Multidisciplinary: Applied Business and Education based in Indonesia; and Editor of Psychology and Education Multidisciplinary Journal based in Turkey. His scholarly pursuits, published in the International Journal of Multidisciplinary: Applied Business and Education and The ES Management and Business Journal, cover diverse topics such as sustainable tourism, service and customer satisfaction, and coping mechanisms during the COVID-19 pandemic. Noteworthy research articles include “Coping Mechanisms of Hospitality Industry Workers in a Tourism Destination during the Covid-19 Pandemic (2021), “The Influence of Service Quality Level and Practice on JNE Customer Satisfaction Bandang City Branch Express (2022)”, “Sustainable Tourism Development of Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan (2021)”, and “Bartending: Knowledge, Attitude, and Practices Among Bar Employees in Selected Resorts in Boracay Island, (2022)”. He co-authored a book entitled, “ Sustainable Development Goals published at FSH-Publication Indonesia and registered work at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPO) Maming’s Thoery on Sustainable Development. Dr. Maming recently attended the prestigious international event of researchers in the world, the 2023 Annual Chapter Conference of the Travel and Tourism Association of Asia Pacific Chapter at Sejong University in Seoul, South Korea. Beyond his contributions to academia, Dr. Maming has served on the National Board of Association of Administrators in Hospitality Hotel and Restaurant Educational Institutions (AAHRMEI) and as Auditor of Boracay M.I.C.E. Alliance, Department of Tourism partner in Tourism development. Holding a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership and a Doctor of Public Administration, he underscores his commitment to transformative education. Recent recognition includes his graduation from the Asian Institute of Management Graduation Global Academic Leadership Program for LUC Presidents (Post Doctoral Program) as a CHED-Executive Scholar; Global Studies in Community of Nations Nation of Communities at the University of the Philippines – Los Baños; Alternative Disputes Resolution for Academic Settings (ADRAS) De La Salle University – Manila; Course in Futures and Foresight Thinking – Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) showcasing his continuous pursuit of knowledge and leadership development. Dr. Jimmy Maming's multifaceted contributions, spanning research, education, and leadership, exemplify his dedication to the advancement of knowledge and the holistic development of individuals. His dynamic approach continues to inspire the academic community and beyond. He is finishing his third doctorate in PhD Management and on Dissertation 2 entitled: Talent Acquisition Practices of Selected Hospitality Establishments in Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan. He completed the Academic Requirements for a Doctor of Education major in Educational Leadership and Management at the University of the Visayas – Cebu City.
