Jay Leon made it his quest to learn how to best communicate with students. He has thirty-eight years of experience teaching all grades of elementary and high school. He also: Served as a career counselor for the City of Chicago Served as a tutor trainer for the Chicago Public Library Taught high school equivalency (GED) classes to inmates of Chicago's Cook County Jail Taught many others to communicate more effectively through his instruction, programs, and personal coaching Jay's articles have been published in Steven Covey's newsletter (author of Seven Habits of Highly Effective People), and in Barbara Glanz's book Care Packages for the Home. He received the ""Miracle Worker School"" award for turning around a class of highly disruptive students. Jay earned his Bachelor in Education degree from Northern Illinois University. Much of his time is devoted to an international service organization. He currently lives in Florida with his sweetheart, Anne, and their animatronic pets, Sparky and Mia. He loves cooking, making healthy, innovative sauces and salad ingredients, crafting his own decaf cappuccino, and connecting with friends.
