Sometimes while we are teaching the basics to our young students or are a psychology based asset in private practice, preschool or elementary schools-we may perceive a child in emotional need or receive a referral. We may also be a librarian that would love to support emotional need and give families help at home during public story time. What better way than through an entertaining story that can open up a dialogue and help young listeners face tough subjects. Subjects as early trauma event Induced anxiety (PTSD) while identifying with Benny Mouse in the two volume series 'The Tales of Benny Mouse' or identifying with flowers, plants, fruits and vegetables to begin understanding our differences and special needs in 'We Are All Special We Are All Unique'. My three award-winning stories are here to help! In this special edition-I have inserted pages at different points in each story with dialogue and interactive suggestions.

BOOK ONE SUMMARY

The Tales of Benny Mouse Volume One: This tale is of a backyard field mouse who accidentally finds himself indoors-trapped by a curious tabby cat. He must find his way safely back home to his nest in the back yard. There are two children living at the house-Alice and Mickey. Benny's adventurous mishap is action packed for young readers to be read aloud to or by themselves. Benny wishes he were a porcupine to help him escape the indoors-back to the safety of his wonderful backyard life!

BOOK TWO SUMMARY

This tale is of a backyard field mouse. In Volume Two-Benny has safely returned to his outdoor nest house after a very frightful mis-adventure. Unexpectedly, he begins to face reoccurring panic and anxiety due to the daily trash smell-which now reminds him of his mishap (PTSD). We follow Benny through his anxious experience and discover with him how he finds his way to move forward. To his surprise an enemy becomes a friend!

BOOK THREE SUMMARY

The children's book 'We Are All Special We are All Unique'-tells us about how special and unique we are in the terms of flowers, plants, fruits and vegetables. Each page is bright and colorful with photo art that gives a sense of realism and fun. It speaks about caring for our special needs and love and respecting ourselves and those around us for our differences. That we are all here together-maturing at different paces in different ways. And that we are all destined to be special and produce something special in our lives.

With a background in the arts and a BFA from Cal Arts, I have many loves. Originally in dance and choreography and now as a gallery artist and a writer and publisher of books. I have a photo art greeting card line and you will see my fun photo art style throughout this book. Reading children's books was my first love. Growing up with a parent who was an elementary school teacher & a specialist in early childhood development, I have decided to evolve my three children's stories into an inspirational teaching aid that I am happy to share with you now!
