""They Made Us Blood and Fury is an absolutely epic fantasy novel for fans of Tobi Ogundiran and Tomi Adeyemi. As always, Cheryl S. Ntumy has spun a tale as heartfelt as it is gory, seamlessly weaving multiple points of view into a rich story of political intrigue, complicated romance, and even more complex religion as an old god wakes to wage a new war. Ntumy excels at intricate world-building and crafting morally gray characters with whom the reader cannot help but empathise, making for a book that delivers gut-wrenching action--with a touch of body-horror - as well as many tender moments. They Made Us Blood and Fury will leave you wanting more long after you turn the last page."" --Xan van Rooyen, author of Silver Helix and My Name is Magic ""If the spirit of rebellion, resistance, and remembrance was a story, it would be They Made Us Blood and Fury. Cheryl S. Ntumy writes with a fervor whose prose sweeps you along and comes at you from all sides, not giving you a chance to catch your breath. They Made Us Blood and Fury feels like crossing a threshold into something deeply personal and haunting."" --Maurice Broaddus, author of Sweep of Stars
