Defan Guan, professor level senior engineer of Sinopec Petroleum Exploration and Production Research Institute, director of the editorial board of “Sino Foreign Energy”, and the former president of Sinopec Petroleum Exploration and Production Research Institute, has been engaged in theoretical and technical research on petroleum exploration and development, and strategic research and management of oil and gas resources for a long time. He graduated from China University of Geosciences (Beijing) with a major in Geological Engineering. He has authored or co-authored over 39 technical papers, and over 50 conference presentations and technical reports.
