Robert Alleyne is one of a 'new breed' of experts in the field of working with dogs and their owners. Realizing that training and behavioural problems can be two entirely separate issues, he has dedicated himself to perfecting his considerable skills in dealing with both. Robert is a board member of the UK Registry of Canine Behaviourists, and a board member of The Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors. He has also run his own obedience training classes since 1986, with classes ranging from basic pet obedience to a competitive standard for those who wish to go further, and has taught courses on instructing obedience classes. He was employed as an animal welfare officer for the London Borough of Lewisham from the founding of the service in 1990 until he left in 2006 to work full-time as a behavioural trainer. Robert Alleyne is one of the trainers in the popular BBC series, Dog Borstal.
