There was even a short-lived British caravan road rallying event, where many caravans ended up smashed to pieces! Also including a look at accessories and add-ons, from tow bars to awnings, and featuring many memories from caravanners looking back over many joyful holidays, this heavily illustrated book is a nostalgic treat for the touring caravan community.

AUTHOR: Andrew Jenkinson has published 12 books on touring caravan history and motorhome history and writes for Practical Caravan, Practical Motorhome, The Caravan Club, Scottish Caravans Motorhome magazine, Park Home and Holiday Home magazines. He has appeared on TV and radio and has gathered a vast archive stretching back to the 1920s.
