The goal of this book about the Timeless Texture of Revelation is to explore the mysteries contained in this enigmatic, yet intriguing book by taking a different approach.

Using a linguistics based methodology, the complexities of the structure of the discourse are explored in detail. The result is a comprehensive, coherent, and complete analysis, which moves towards a greater consensus on all the outstanding issues.

The resulting outline provides a surprisingly simple overview of the book. This is because its Hebraic worldview and discourse characteristics were allowed to influence the research process.

This ground-breaking approach led to a different perspective on the overall topic and purpose of the book. The true topic, as intended by the author, is Jesus the Messiah, and so this basic fact is brought back into focus and the various facets of His person and of His current activity are explored in detail.

The purpose of the book is to encourage and exhort Christians going through difficult times. They are instructed to keep on following the Lamb wherever He goes. As they do this, they learn to be overcomers, and then they become able to rule and reign together with Him, starting in the here and now of our present life on earth .

They are designed to help us grow strong in all the seasons of life and to equip us for our life in the here and now, as well as for all eternity. All we have to do is to press on, and to move further up and further in.

The texture of this remarkable book is truly timeless, for its whole tone is to reveal to us what is continually happening in the spiritual realm. Then, on that basis, to reveal to all of us, of any age or any era, how we can benefit from all the blessings which our Heavenly Father has prepared for those who put their trust in His Son. Several dozen charts are provided which will greatly facilitate the study of this book, both for the general reader, but especially for those who wish to preach on every verse in this magnificent book.

Stephen Schooling completed his undergraduate studies in theology in the UK. He then obtained his MA in linguistics at UT Arlington in the USA, followed by his PhD in Biblical Studies from Trinity College Bristol, UK. He spent many years with Wycliffe Bible Translators, teaching in their linguistics schools, training Mother Tongue Translators and serving as an administrator and as a translation consultant. Then for another 25 years as co-founder and principal of a pioneer Bible School ministry in the francophone islands of the Pacific Region, he continued to dedicate his life to making the truth of God's word accessible to those who had very limited opportunity to read or study it for themselves. He has always been passionate about sharing the truth of God's Word, in season and out of season, with all who will listen. After a life-time of missionary service he now lives with his wife, Janice, in Queensland, Australia, near their 2 daughters.
