Kathy McNair is an Elder Law attorney who has spent more than 25 years helping seniors plan for the future with dignity and peace of mind. Her passion for this work began early in her career, when judges appointed her as Guardian and Conservator for seniors who had no one else. She would often meet these clients for the first time in a hospital room, in the midst of a health or mental health crisis. It was a painful moment for everyone. Kathy was a stranger, now charged with making decisions about their care, money, and future. She never had the chance to know them before they declined, or to understand what mattered to them. That experience shaped everything she does today. Kathy now focuses on helping seniors, especially those aging alone, plan ahead before a crisis happens. In 2001, Kathy founded Senior Solutions LLC, Attorneys at Law, where she provides services in Medicaid Planning, Estate Planning, Probate, and Special Needs Trusts. For fifteen years, she served as the Public Administrator of Suffolk County, managing estates for those who died without known heirs. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for MacNamara House, an affordable senior housing community in Boston. Kathy earned her law degree from Boston College Law School and her undergraduate degree in Psychology from St. Lawrence University. She lives in Boston and enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and active, and improving her pickleball skills.
