""A beautiful story?even if dark at times?that invites us to investigate desire and to imagine anotherway of conceiving seduction: a quiet seduction, absent of struggles, calm, where there is room forsadnessandanguish, but also for tenderness, a full presence and an ethic of care.""--Carolina Freire Vales, Elle Spain ""A goddess. [...] One of the most unique and radical voices in contemporary Spanish literature.""--Alana S. Portero, author of Bad Habits, for El pensamiento erĂ³tico (Erotic Thinking) ""Reading Sara Torres is always an experience whose echo, laden with ramifications, reverberates for anindefinite time in the back room of our psyche.""--Paloma Abad, Vogue Spain, for Lo que hay (X Is Where I Am) ""THE SEDUCTION is a spare, seething novella inside which attraction sharpens, gains teeth, fractures into self-doubt, coalesces into impulse and daring. Sara Torres has a poet's keen eye for image and a novelist's sense of dread, and the two together produce a novel that is constantly shifting and changing, reinventing itself as desire reinvents the perceptive, hungry, audacious woman at its heart.""--Jen Silverman, author of There's Going to Be Trouble
