Anne Pertet is a Professor at The Tropical Institute of Community Health and Development (TICH), Great Lakes University, Kenya. She specializes in Preventive and Community Health Research. She has over four-decade experience in research that integrates health and social sciences methods and theories. She also has vast experience of teaching students both at undergraduate to postgraduate levels in research methods, scientific and academic writing and thesis preparation. The motivation to write this reader-friendly book is based on the author′s encounters with the challenges postgraduates face when writing their thesis — an experience gained through teaching, supervising and examining thesis.
