"""This book offers engaging lessons designed to develop literacy and communicative competency in Persian at the intermediate level. The carefully selected themes and texts make the book especially appropriate for university classrooms while the extensive exercises included in each chapter encourage active, independent learning."" Samad Alavi, University of Oslo, Norway ""I have been using The Routledge Intermediate Persian Course: Farsi Shirin Ast, Book Two at my Intermediate Persian classes for a few years as it contains lessons on variety of topics with variety of exercises and some grammar points embedded. The second edition with task-based pre-reading activities and vocabulary sections before the main texts will help the students to understand the texts better. Additional vocabulary and grammar exercises are definitely a milestone which will strengthen the book and improve the vocabulary and grammar knowledge of the students and enhance learning. I found the book a very useful tool for teaching Persian at higher education as it has almost all the instructors require with no need to spend a great amount of time looking for appropriate class materials.""
