Dr Rachael M. Abbiss currently works as Principal Curator, Military History, at the Battle of Britain Bunker in West London. She has published work covering 17th- and 18th-century conflict in North America and Europe, including warfare in New England and the military landscape of Shropshire during the Georgian period. Previously, Rachael worked as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Chester and University Centre Shrewsbury, leading and teaching modules covering early modern and modern military and political subjects. She has extensive curatorial and education experience in the museum and heritage sector, working for organisations such as Buckingham Palace, the Assault Glider Trust and Northampton Museums & Art Gallery.
