Dr. Sridhar Muthusami completed his Ph.D in endocrinology in the year 2011 from the University of Madras, India. His doctoral study was aimed at delineating the molecular mechanism underlying the anabolic actions of Cissus quadrangularis, an indigenous herb believed to exert anabolic effects on bone cells through IGFR. After completing his Ph.D, he has joined for his Postdoctoral work in the department of Radiation Oncology, Chungbuk National University, South Korea. He has worked on the role of Epidermal growth factor/receptor (EGF/EGFR) signaling and its regulation of oncoprotein Fused Toes Homolog (FTS) in cervical cancer cells from 2011 to 2014. He is also involved in the identifying the role of T0070907/EGCG/cordycepin on cervical cancer cells. Since 2015, he moved to the department of biochemistry, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (Deemed to be University) and serving as Associate Professor and Head at Cancer Research Centre working in the area of development of EGFR TKIs for the treatment/management of cervical cancer/pancreatic cancer.
