Pamela Oldfield was an exceptionally prolific author and wrote more than a hundred books, ranging from adventure and picture stories for children to historical fiction for adults. She started writing children's books when she took a job teaching infants and discovered she had a talent for storytelling. James de la Rue has been illustrating professionally since 2005 and has contributed to dozens of children's book titles for many of the UK's most prominent publishers. James lives on the Channel Island of Guernsey with his wife and children.
