Elizabeth O’Brien, PhD, LPC-MHSP is UC Foundation Professor and director of the School of Professional Studies in the College of Health, Education, and Professional Studies at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is past president for the Association of Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling, a division of the American Counseling Association, and served as a member of the American Counseling Association’s Governing Council. Dr. O’Brien has presented both internationally and nationally on issues related to wellness and beginning counselors, marriage and couples counseling, and spirituality and supervision. Her books, articles, and book chapters relate to the subjects of clinical supervision, wellness, marriage and couples counseling, and spirituality. Dr. O’Brien maintains a small private practice in the Chattanooga area and is co-owner of EB Consulting LLC.
