Will Hamilton-Davies is a Bristol-based Children's Author and Poet, whose house was more like a village, growing up (Will is one of SIX siblings!). An exciting new voice on the children’s picture book scene, Will’s writing is filled with warmth, wisdom and a playful sense of adventure. His stories champion confidence, curiosity, and courage – empowering young readers to speak up, stand out, and embrace the world around them. It was while reading bedtime stories to his youngest siblings that Will first fell in love with picture books. Inspired by their magic and encouraged to write one of his own, he began crafting what would become his debut story, The Shrew with the Flu. A testament to his ambition and belief, Will crowdfunded and self-published The Shrew with the Flu, which has now sold over 5,000 copies in the UK alone. Will's lyrical, read-aloud writing has resonated with children, parents, and educators alike. Will has performed at hundreds of schools and festivals, presented awards for the Bristol Young Heroes, and supported charities helping improve the lives of children and families.
Joyfully illustrated and perfectly written, I couldn't help but fall in love with mole and his exceptionally brilliant mound! A witty, thoughtful and totally charming book that won't fail to make you smile. * Emily Hamilton * A read-aloud gem about empathy and friendship. * Mariesa Dulak * A story about a forward-thinking Mole, who uses all his self-belief to build his dream home, much against EVERYONE else’s advice. A fun rhyming tale with modern, colourful illustrations – I’d like to move into Mole’s Mound too please! * Carly Gledhill * A charming story about not judging something by its outward appearance. With an adorable mole, deliciously cute illustrations and a satisfying but non-preachy message, this book is sure to delight little ones, who will also love joining in with the repeated refrain. * Frances Tosdevin *
