Mary Joslin is married and has 3 grown up children. She began writing when her own children were still young and has since written books that have been published throughout the world. For Lion these include Our Father, The Tale of the Heaven Tree, Do the Angels Watch Close By?, The Merchant Enticed by the Pearl of Great Price and The Story of the Cross. She likes kayaking, canoeing and gardening. Amanda Hall is an award-winning international illustrator, noted for her stylish illustrations of folk tales and legends. With a lush and decorative style which demonstrates a love of colour, her children's books are often mythical and timeless. Amanda studied Graphic Art at what is now the Anglia Polytechnic University in Cambridge. Having travelled Amanda finds herself drawn to illustrating ethnic tales and legends in a style that uses watercolours and crayon to build layers of colour and texture.
