Valerie Boujard is a supervisor in the Arboretum at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Previously she worked there in the childrens garden and then the Mediterranean Garden. Born in France, she trained at Capel Manor College, London, and started her own design, construction and garden maintenance company in 2012. She worked for seven years for private clients in London before joining the staff at Kew, where she has been responsible for the care of many different types of shrubs.Kew Royal Botanic Gardens has built a global resource for medicinal plant names that enables health professionals and researchers to access information about plants and plant products relevant to pharmacological research, health regulation, traditional medicine and functional foods.
