The International Management Reader: Essential Articles on Global Business provides students with a hands-on approach to understanding the impacts and nuances of global factors such as governmental regulations, social-cultural trends, language, religion, economic activities, ethical behavior, and decision-making on a company's strategies to do business outside of its home market.

The book features 14 chapters with each presenting a key topic on doing business globally. Each chapter includes an introduction, pre-reading questions, an article, post-reading questions, and a summary of important takeaways. Students learn about potential barriers to expanding business in a new country, the positive and negative impacts of governmental policies on global business, the importance of researching cultural factors when interacting with international clients and investors, and the critical roles of strategic planning and risk consideration. Additional chapters address global entry strategies, corporate citizenship, and the positive and negative aspects of an international career.

Developed to showcase the myriad opportunities available to students in global management and to provide them with the foundational knowledge they require within the field, The International Management Reader is an exemplary resource for courses in global business.
