Edward Underhill grew up in the suburbs of Wisconsin, where he could not walk to anything, so he had to make up his own adventures. He studied music in college, spent several years living in very small apartments in New York, and currently resides in California with his partner and a talkative black cat. He is the author of the young adult novels Always the Almost, This Day Changes Everything, and In Case You Read This, and a book for adults, The In-Between Bookstore. ""Underhill writes with such sensitivity and care, infusing this achingly real story with just the right amount of magic. I fell head over heels for Harlowe, Nathan, and their entire multigenerational community of queer misfits (cat included). It's the kind of book that feels like home. A brand-new all-time favorite."" -- Becky Albertalli, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda and Amelia, If Only
