Lisa Twigg is an independent social worker. During her career, Lisa has worked in both inpatient and community mental health settings, sexual assault crisis services, child protection, foster care and emergency medicine. Along the way, she has taken time away from her career to have children, home educate and undertake home-based support work for NDIS-funded clients. However, Lisa's motivation to share the story of her dad's 'good death' stems purely from her role as a 'daughter'. Having made the unconventional decision to take their dad Bob out of residential care and bring him home to die, Lisa and her family are keen to inspire others by talking about, and promoting, choice at the end of life. Lisa lives in Greater Brisbane with her husband, two children and their pet Jack Russell. Lisa's mum, Helen, lives in a granny flat under their family home.
